COS: Pioneers and Masters of Cerasuolo di Vittoria

13/05/2021 - If you are fond of Sicilian wines you will surely have crossed the name COS, a winery located near the southeastern tip of Sicily, in the province of Ragusa, and has its headquarter in Vittoria.
It is here, in 1980, the year of its birth, the passion for a wine and a appellation born few years ago, that is Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico DOCG, which became one of the most renowned wines of the winery and it is considered as a model by many wine lovers among the best Cerasuoli di Vittoria wines.
To the eye the color is deep ruby red, the fruity aromas of Frappato to the nose are the protagonist with cherry and berries in primis, whereas it is on the palate that the union with the more angular Nero d'Avola balances the lightness and roundness of taste of Frappato.
