- Since 1123 A.D. the Principality of Lucedio has been producing the first Italian rice, in the rice fields of Vercelli, the home of Italian rice par excellence.
With a history of almost a thousand years behind it, today Lucedio remains a reference in the panorama of Italian rice for quality and variety, offering not only popular and more classic varieties such as Carnaroli and Vialone Nano (perfect for Risotti), but also others such as Arborio, Baldo, Venere Nero, Ermes Rosso, embracing all the recipes related to the world of rice.
Within the production there are also legumes typical of Vercelli's agricultural culture such as Borlotti Beans, Cannellini Beans and Chickpeas, an assortment that gives an idea of the strong dimension of Principato di Lucedio as an all-round agricultural company, able to offer authentic specialties of its territory both in terms of taste and nutrition.
