erraliva was born in the heart of the Monti Iblei in the small mountain village of Buccheri, in the province of Syracuse, a few kilometers from the most beautiful and renowned cities of art and historical-architectural interest in Eastern Sicily.
Located in volcanic territory at an altitude of 700 meters, stand our centuries-old olive trees that benefit greatly from the temperature range that is created between day and night and that gives the plants a positive stress that can ensure a production of high quality and unique organoleptic properties.
On our estates, in fact, there are very old native cultivars such as the Tonda Iblea along with other minor ones such as Nocellara Etnea, Nocellara del Belice and Zaituna: from these are born "experiential monocultivars" that intoxicate the senses with their characteristic scents of tomato, wild thistle, officinal herbs, almond and dried fruit.
Complex but at the same time harmonious, refined and with a surprising balance between spiciness and bitterness, Terraliva oils lend themselves as great allies in the kitchen as they do not season but enhance any dish and give every dish a concentrate of Sicily directly from the "Land of the Alive."
Our extra virgin olive oil is obtained solely from the cold pressing of hand-picked olives.
It is certified Organic, Igp Sicily, Kosher and Halal for the respect and requirements of the Jewish and Muslim religions, thus ensuring the oil's compliance with these laws for total product purity. Our Cherubino also is a Slow Food Presidium.
