The essence of this Moscato from the Tormaresca winery is that of the sweet Goddess who envelops and seduces the taster with the warmth she manages to release. Kaloro wine boasts the DOC Moscato di Trani certification which guarantees its Controlled Designation of Origin. This wine comes from a careful selection of Moscato grapes, 100% pure, from the Bocca di Lupo estate. The grapes were harvested at the right degree of ripeness and left to dry in the sun, on special trays, for about 12 days. The drying has thus determined not only the increase in the sugar content but also the appearance of a series of aromas such as jam and honey that give this wine a remarkable intensity and aromatic finesse. After destemming and soft pressing, the fermentation was carried out at a controlled temperature (18 ° C) in stainless steel, in order to enhance the aromatic and qualitative potential of the grapes as much as possible. This was followed by an 8-month aging period in steel and a further long aging in the bottle.
Characteristics of the Kaloro DOC wine
The organoleptic examination of this Pugliese wine allows us to taste a wine with a bright and intense golden yellow color. The nose perfume denotes intense, pleasing and elegant aromas of quince, apricot, pear and fig. More complex notes of spices, candied citrus and vanilla follow. The flavor on the palate is sweet and soft at the entrance which immediately turns towards a correct acid balance that enhances its richness, complexity and persistence.
Recommended pairings with the Apulian wine Moscato Kaloro DOC
The Pugliese Kaloro di Tormaresca wine is ideal served in combination with almond desserts and dry pastries. The ideal serving temperature is 12 ° C in a small Tulipano or Renano glass.
