The wine
The 2017 Yarden Syrah displays ripe black and red fruit characters, along with notes of earth, smoke, spices and hints of anise seeds. This full-bodied Syrah exhibits great varietal character and a satisfying concentration of flavor.
Although it is nice to drink when it goes on sale, it will continue to improve in the bottle and should remain in excellent condition for a decade or more.

The 2017 Yarden Syrah is produced solely from Syrah fruit grown in vineyards at altitudes of 600 to 1000 meters (around 2000 to 3300 feet) in the central and northern Golan Heights. The wine ages in small French oak barrels for 18 months.
